Introducing the King's College London Fight the Fakes Blog Series!

Welcome to the King's College London Fight the Fakes (King's FtF) blog series! At King's FtF we are constantly seeking meaningful ways of engagement to share information to spark discussion about the global issue of substandard and falsfied (SF) medicines.

In June 2021, we started the Let's Talk About Fakes webinar series to create a much needed forum for discussion about the global issue of substandard and falsified (SF) products with experts in the field with a view to find solutions. Our inuagural Let's Talk About Fakes started with Stanislas Barro (Global Head of Anti-Falsified Medicines at Novartis [CFE]).

This was followed by talks by Pernette Bourdillon Esteve (World Health Organization (WHO) Team Lead a.i. Incidents and Substandard/Falsified (SF) Medicinal Products), Daniel Fritz (Industry Project Lead at PharmaLedger and Supply Chain Architect at Novartis), Mike Isles (Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacy in the EU), Adam Aspinall, Senior Director of Access & Product Management at Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) and ending our winter series with an insightful talk by Collins Agoro, (Global Roche Anti- Counterfeit Commission Ambassador for Africa).

From the discussions during the Let's Talk About Fakes webinars, it was clear that our King's FtF community wanted more! Specifically, deeper insight into the topics and themes raised. This is the foundation upon which our blog series is built.

Our regular blog series will delve deeper into the "fakes" issue and we invite contributors to join our conversation and our efforts.
